University is really needed for someone who wants to make her/his life better. I am Valeria as a student in second grade of Senior High School, also needs a university that is compatible with my skill. And I think, now, I have to start thinking about where I want to continue my study? Or what major should I take after graduating? Thinking about that makes me so confused. You know why? My father retires next year. Because of that, I have to be more careful of choosing university. Not too far from home and a long study for example, because I'm afraid my parents can't give me enough fund.
Well, honestly, I'm not good enough at physics and memorizing. And the lesson I love is chemistry, my score for chemistry supports me to. So, I want to have a job that has relation to chemistry, but, I just want a medical job. Thinking about that, the first idea comes to my mind is to be a pharmacist. Then I try to tell that to my parents and my sister, but they are not really agree with that decision. They said, to be a pharmacist will take a long time for study, and they didn't agree with that. Of course, they make me sad. After that there is a shocking news comes from my school. There is a changing rule from SNMPTN. There are only two ways to join SNMPTN. First is the invitation and second is "mandiri" way. For the invitation way, we just can choose two university. First in other province and second in our province and for each university you can choose two majors. As you know, in East Kalimantan, the university is not good enough. This news makes me shocked.
When I try to have a discussion about my university with my parents, it's never have ended and just makes me more confused. Well, my mother wants me to be a nurse, my father wants me to be in chemical technique. My sister suggested me better to be a medical analyst than to be a pharmacist. Analyst's job is to check a healthy level of someone from blood, urine, and so on. I think, there is a little chemistry in this job so I think this job is suitable for me. But actually, I really wants to be a pharmacist but what can I do?
So, after chatting and sharing with may sister, this is the decision I've made. First, I will follow the invitation way by choosing UGM in pharmacist and psychologist. Second, if it is not successful, I will try medical analyst in Poltekes. And last, if it it is not successful too, I will take psychologist or pharmacist major in Sanata Dharma. Well, everyone wants the best for his/her life, so do I. I wish this is the best decision for me and God will agree with that. Amen.

i know how hard it is to have different opinion with your family, but it doesn't mean that you have to live your life with their way..
even though your mom and dad want different things, i believe that they'll support your final decision..
so, what you need to do is trying to do your best starting from now on..no more wasting time..you have a big chance to live your dream and i believe that you will ^^
It doesn't mean that you need to agree with your parents , I think you need to think about it carefully I think farmasi is good it takes skill of chemistry .. :))
Just talk to your parents again, maybe they will understand you or why don't you try to agree with them? maybe they know what the best for you :)
is your final decision is a force from your family ? if yes,just tell to your family that your first decision is the best for you than you pharmacist and psychologist and it's useless because you don't like it and great journal
